Skeletons Rule

the winner ($50) once again is 1800 35th Street on the corner of S and 35th. The impressive pirate-themed decorations were replete with awesome lighting and a fountain.

After the warmest Halloween since 1950, I am happy to announce the winners of the annual Burleith Halloween Decorating Contest, sponsored by the Burleith Citizens Association. This year, we have decided on two runners-up and one winner. There were many amazingly decorated houses, and the judges wished they could award everyone a prize! Winners will receive gift cards.

Thanks to everyone who made our neighborhood so festive! Thanks also to this year’s judges: Adam Langenbacher, Lauren Dailey, Ben Weise, and Jude Braithwait.

Please note that the BCA Board has changed the rules next year for this and our holiday decoration contest: there will be no repeat overall winners.

Our first runner up ($25) is 3509 S Street. The judges were especially impressed with the creative and dynamic use of skeletons.

Our second runner-up ($25) is 3817 T Street for the outstanding lighting, attention to detail, and, naturally, the massive skeleton.
