Founders Day @ Ellington

Join us on Saturday, March 23, for our inaugural Founders Day Celebration, which begins at 1 pm. This event is a tribute to our visionary co-founders, Mike Malone and Peggy Cooper Cafritz, whose legacy we’ll honor with a day-long celebration that includes:

  • Exhibition opening featuring works by Ellington alumni (up for bid) and works from the Peggy Cooper Cafritz Collection (for viewing purposes only)

  • Artistic bazaar with shopping from local vendors

  • Activated tour where Ellington students bring the art within the building to life

  • Legacy conversation panel discussion featuring faculty and alumni from the early years of Ellington

  • The inaugural Ellington Honors Awards

  • After party in vintage black-and-white style.
